Andrew and Karen met in high school and dated 4 years before they were married at the young ages of 21 and 19. They have been married over 25 years.

They have worked with adopted kids and special needs kids for over thirty years as well as helping other families with their adopted children.
Andrew has spoken at dozens of workshops on topics like parenting, working with foster/adopted kids, getting involved in the foster system, and so on.
After being involved in youth ministry for over 20 years, Andrew recently changed jobs and is now able to work from home most of the time in order to spend more time with the kids as well as support Karen.
Karen stays at home with the kids. That is, she does not have a job outside of the home, but is often traveling to different doctor, therapy, and schooling appointments.
